Hats off to all of you for a great 07 race season and Congratulations to our Top5 in each Division for both the OPEN and the Youth! I’d also like to acknowledge everyone who participated in our races this year. We had some tough competition, some serious growth and a lot of sponsor support! I know it’s a big Rodeo weekend, maybe you can request Slack for Friday morning at Poway then make it to the dinner Friday night!

WESTERN FINALS IN UTAH! It was hot…. Holy cow it was hot, we took the kiddie pool for camp, kept the AC on and enjoyed the thunder and lightning storm! Congrats to Alex Fiorito, Bobbi Kushner, Kyle Roloff and Janelle Robinson for their great runs and prize $$ in the Youth Finals -

Kyle, Stacy and myself were fortunate to win some $ and great prizes in the short go and what a great California team we had for the Fun night Saturday. My husband Rick ran horseless barrels, Kyle and Rick, and all the girls were tough in the Tug of War and go Bobbi & Alex in the balloon toss – softball paid off! Thanks for the great memories and photos! Lets not forget the support team… Peggy Roloff, Bruce Stenerson, Rick Roberts, Troy Dial (you’re a trooper!) and Lisa Kushner and Kris Kanoff I’ll do my best to get the Finals closer to home for 08 so more of you can join us!

Our New season…. Thank you all for your patience in the watching for points to be posted, August was crazy for me and I had a lot of paperwork to do for new members, race results and media. I had many new members join with incomplete membership apps and I’ve had to track down the info to get it all correct. It will be in the office this week and I know Sharon and the IBRA team do a great job for us getting them posted. Patience is a virtue…. So mom said.

September races are right around the corner, 15 th in Temecula with NBHA-19 and 29 th at Cloverdale Escondido with SCBA and NBHA. The races will keep coming and we will have the Rule books out to everyone soon. The determination will also be made on the Ca split for Regions. I hope we have another NBHA director coming on board for Central California races and we will be co-sanctioning more in that area in 08. Remember your Best 10 count for points, it’s not a hauling contest but you must be competitive.

NOTICE FOR MEMBERS!! This may be a repeat but… Please be aware of which names you are using for your horse(s) on entry forms. Remember this Association keeps points on Horse/rider combinations and the IBRA doesn’t know that Fluffy is aka for “Docs Piece of Fluff”!! Use the same name every time, and if you see an error on the results of a race or in the standings, speak up quickly please so the problem can be resolved.
