We are certainly off to a great start for the New Year. I am pleased to announce PURINA as our STATE FINALS TITLE SPONSOR! Purina will be offering the Ohio Members quarterly coupons. Make sure you all take advantage of this gracious offering, and do business with those that support us. We need to all take time throughout the year & thank those that are supporting our association, even a quick note will let them know our appreciation. Just a reminder to everyone about our SPONSORSHIP DRIVE. Earn a free entry, stall, or award thru increasing sponsorships. $100 in Sponsors will qualify you to run in the Directors/Sponsor Race at Nationals. This does not have to be one big sponsor, but can be earned thru multiple smaller donations & sponsorships.

 

This year we will be using several fundraisers to help kick some $ into our Awards Fund. I am working with a few differant Screen Printing Buisnesses trying to complete our 2012 IBRA Ohio Sponsorship T-Shirts. Thus far, I have found an Alternative Style Fitted T in both Ladies & Mens Sizing. Ladies, if you do not like the fitted sizing, the mens are very comparable. ANY SPONSOR donating over $25.00 with us by mid February will be included on the back of the T-Shirts. So far (some have not been paid yet to confirm, but just to give you an idea.....) the following Sponsors will be included; PURINA, cattlehandling.net, www.jvpsignaturehorsesandtack.com, Brandi Foster Barrel Racing Productions, Krazy K Signs, Bodey Insurance - Mark Bodey, Town & Country Co-op, Doug Davidson Trucking, and Dave Treharne Training Center. These T's are a great place for Veterinarians, Farriers, Trainers, Breeders, and about any other business to advertise for as low as $25.00! Spread the word, and please get your Sponsors in to assure they are able to take advantage of this! I am hoping to have these shirts ready to sell by the March Circle G Show.

 

Also, I have reserved WB Ranch May 25, 26, & 27 for our Fundraiser Show. Please plan on bringing a dozen of your favorite snacks for our "Fundraiser Snack Table". We will have this set-up from Friday night thru Sunday, or until we sell-out. The T-Shirts will also be For Sale. This weekend will be a great time to have a Silent Auction. So grab some items, and let's add to our Awards Fund thru a Silent Auction. The more active and participating members we have, the smoother this show will run. Please let me know what class you will be available to set barrels for. If everyone lends a hand, we will not have to hire anyone, and in return, obviously increase our profits. If any of you are handy in the entry booth, and planning on attending, please give me a call. I'd appreciate your help!

 

Last on the "Fundraising Thoughts", a few of us have agreed to selling Malleys Chocolate Bars. I have no problem with picking these up, & having them at the Shows, all I ask is that they are prepaid. Let me know how many boxes you would like to try & sell. (Email, Facebook, or Call)

 

Please share your thoughts on Awards. I love to hear everyone's ideas. Weaver Leather is setting us up with 40 very nice "surprise somethings" for the Open Top Ten - so excited!!!

 

Saturday, March 10th at Windy Knoll Farms in Sullivan, Oh we are setting up an IBRA Ohio Booth at the Town & Country Co-ops Equine Excellence. This is an Annual Event, and this year they are having Teresa Quay as the Clinician. I thought this would be a great oppertunity to spread the word about our association, and what we have to offer. If anyone is interested in "manning" the booth, please let me know.

 

Watch our Homepage for some new Show Approvals this year. Salem, Ohio will be the home to Brandi Foster Barrel Racing Productions, we have the Champion's Center Races, and also approvals in Upper Sandusky. Hopefully these additions will help "even out" our schedule across the state.
