Share in the Holiday Spirit
This holiday season the IBRA would like to focus some of its efforts on helping people in need. For 3 years now, one of the IBRA’s favorite charities is the Children Who Witness Violence Program. The CWWVP provides crisis intervention, psychiatric services, and support to traumatized children referred by police officers in the community.
Over the past three years, the IBRA has donated a total of $24,233.59 to different charities along with sponsoring children for Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. The gifts are always greatly appreciated and needed and we would like to continue the tradition and offer you the opportunity to help as well.
Although we may not be able to shield children from witnessing these violent events, we would like to do whatever we can to help heal the emotional wounds that result from these experiences. By helping these families, hopefully we can build up the child’s positive experiences.
Some of the families involved in this program don’t have a chance to celebrate the holidays like we do. We’re hoping that by organizing this, we can give gifts to children who may not otherwise receive any this year.
