I want to get some feedback from the PA members on our State show.

Would you like to see an Open & Youth class on Saturday and the same Sunday and then award on the average?

Or would you like to run a first go on Saturday, second go on Sunday, break for awards, and then do a final short go for those that qualified on Saturday or Sunday?

Would you like to see buckles given for winners in each division like we had last year at the State show or would you rather see more added money?

I want to finalize up the State show this week but would like to get everyone's input.

Thanks!

Reward on the Average!!!!!!!!

Buckles would be nice.. Doesn't matter to me if it is buckles or just more added money.... Maybe more added money would be a bigger draw than buckles????!!

Razz I think the runs both days and then an average. It gives everyone a chance to get something. The short go would leave a lot of people out.
When you drive 6 hours to a show you want every possibility there is to get some money for your efforts. Twisted Evil
What are we doing on Friday night? If we are going to be there, we might as well make it worth our while!!!! Can it be a point class too? Question

hi girls, i think you are doing a great job with pa ibra. sounds like this is going to be a great barrel race.

i think you should have a 4d friday night also......maybe start it at 7:00 p.m. i think with all these barrel racers coming in from everywhere for the weekend it would be nice to make a run. you may get more exhibitions, some people may just come saturday morning for the weekend but if you are having a jackpot they will come early & sign up for an exhibition. you are going to have the people there anyway, keep them busy.....people who are not busy cause problems Laughing . plus you have to get a stall there, so if you have to come friday it is easier to spend the money on a stall.

Great point Jamie! Yes, I agree after thinking about this for a bit. It makes it a lot easier to pay for a stall if you are staying there for two nights and not just one. Also, I think you would get more people having a 4D Open on Friday also.

I think most people would not want to haul in on Friday just for EX.

Gas prices are expensive and it would make it woth our time and be fun to boot! Keep the entry fee down and you wouldn't even need much added money for Friday's Open.

YES, 4D FRIDAY NIGHT. Very Happy

ALSO IBRA WOULD MAKE 20% OFF THE ENTRY FEES FROM THAT CLASS....THAT IS A GOOD FUNDRAISER FOR THE 2007 AWARDS.

LETS SEE MATH Rolling Eyes .....30.00 ENTRY FEE X 100 RIDERS = 3000.00 X 20% = 600.00 DOLLARS TO IBRA = A SADDLE!!!!

COME ON PEOPLE CALL & EMAIL MICHELLE.....4D 4D 4D 4D

Hi, new to this. This is my input I think that we should have a 4D class on Friday night @7:00pm start exbs @ 3:00 on Friday, and have the 2 gos and finals in the open. If you can't make it on Saturday you would still have a chance to get back to the finals on Sunday if you quailify, you would just skip over the ones that already got in on Saturday that gives everyone a chance. The thing with the average is if you knock down on Saturday then your done Crying or Very sad Add money for both days but only IBRA members go to the finals and have the most money added in that class, cause you are going to have people come and run for the money that are not IBRA members and that not fair to the ones that are members. Well that's just my opion.

Laughing That's a good idea Panama. Hadn't thought about it like that but I like your way of thinking. I think we should be the one to get the money for the short go and not non members.
Definitely 4D Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know about the $30 entry fee though for all the money we will be spending for Saturday and Sunday. That needs some more thought. Crying or Very sad

Well I think that they are going to look @ it real close . Your paying for 2 runs and maybe getting 3 I don't think that you pay for the finals? @ least that' Smile s how other shows do it 2 go's and final but finals don't have a entry fee. If I miss spell sorry Embarassed playing around with smily faces

right, finals don't have an entry fee. So it would be possibly 3 runs for the price of 2. Even if that's not the way other places do it, it sounds good for us to do it that way.
Just make a good presentation when you take it to the higher ups to be approved!!!!!!!

Oh.. man... this makes sense too. But.. if you do decide to go with this.. plan ahead for the youth kids. Many of them will end up with 3 runs on sunday (or more if they ride more than one horse). Give some time for the youth horses to recover between the Youth/4D/ and short go. Because of this, I would prefer to have awards instead of a short go.

Also.. Please don't have the friday night a $30 entry fee that seems high unless your going to have a lot of added money.

It sure seems like people are excited about this show though. It's going to be a good one! Smile
